Padmashri Vikramjit Sahney sponsored Polo Match at Jaipur Polo Grounds in commemoration of 10 glorious years of WPO.  An annual trophy instituted this year in memory of his father, Late Sr. Gurcharan Singh Sahney was awarded to the winning team.

January 3, 2009 : As part of the celebration of its completion of 10 glorious years, Padmashri Vikramjit Sahney, International President, WPO organized an Exhibition Polo match at Jaipur Polo Grounds, New Delhi between Nalwa's and Sherdill's . The two teams consisted of well known players.

Some of the key participants of the event were H.E. Francis Maloi, H.E. Jonathan Wutawunashe, H.E. Marten Kapewasha - High Commissioners of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Naminia respectively.

Vikramjit Sahney welcomed all the guests that included over 100 NRIs who braved the rough climatic conditions as well as global insurgency weather to show the solidarity towards mankind and  for taking the trouble and sparing their valuable time to come and attend the celebrations of 10 glorious years of WPO.



A skill riding show and Vintage car show was also organized during the occasion. Both the shows were well appreciated by the spectators. The match and the show was well attended by the elite of Delhi that include Sr. S.S. Dhindsa-MP & Former Union Minister, Sr. Tarlochan Singh-MP & Former Chairman National Commission for Minorities, Sr. T.S. Marwah-MLA. Lord D.S. Rana-London, Sh. Raj Loomba MBE-London, Sr. Anup Vohra, Sh. Inder Bindra-President WPO New York, Sr. Surjit Singh-President WPO Abu Dhabi, Sr. J.S. Sachar-Dubai, Sr. Ranjit Buxi-President WPO London etc.

Inspite of the inclement weather there was no lack of enthusiasim in the participants and the spectators.
